Neural Path Release

Neural path release is used in tracking nerve tension and to supplement detailed vertebral and deep tissue releasing. The method seeks to stimulate nerve pathways, beginning at the spine and following the track to the endpoint of the nerve. Different positions are used to enhance the effect along the neural paths.

The spine is mobilized to stimulate the nerve root and the nerve is followed by applying light pressure, in some cases repeatedly. The movement involves a pressing-oscillating action with the thumb/s. This may be supplemented with a pulsing action.

Apart from helping in the release of pinched nerves and nerve tension, neural path work also helps to relax the nerve after being compressed.
